🦁 Narasimha Jayanti: The Divine Day of Protection and Power
By Astro Star Talk
Every year, the auspicious occasion of Narasimha Jayanti reminds us of the eternal truth that no force of evil can overpower devotion, righteousness, and faith in the divine. Celebrated on the Chaturdashi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Vaishakha, this festival marks the divine incarnation of Lord Narasimha, the fourth avatar of Lord Vishnu, who appeared in a fierce half-man, half-lion form to protect his devotee and uphold Dharma.
📖 The Legend of Lord Narasimha
The story begins with the demon king Hiranyakashipu, who gained a powerful boon from Lord Brahma — he could not be killed by man or beast, inside or outside, during day or night, with any weapon, on land, water, or air. Arrogant with power, he declared himself God and demanded worship from all. But his own son, Prahlada, remained an unwavering devotee of Lord Vishnu.
Angered by his son's devotion, Hiranyakashipu asked if Vishnu was present in everything. When Prahlada said yes, he pointed to a pillar and smashed it. From that pillar emerged Lord Narasimha — neither man nor beast — who killed Hiranyakashipu at twilight (neither day nor night), on the threshold (neither indoors nor outdoors), with his claws (not a weapon), on his lap (neither land nor sky).
🌺 Why Narasimha Jayanti is Spiritually Important

Victory of devotion over ego
